Why aren't some parts of my site (e.g., Review apps, video clips, Shop buy button, etc) being recorded?

Some apps on storefronts load inside of HTML elements called "iFrames" or are rendered via "shadow roots".

iFrames load other websites in a special window inside the current webpage. Apps that use iFrames include review apps, embedded media clips like Youtube, social networking sites like Facebook and Twitter and others.

Due to browser security and privacy restrictions, scripts (like our session recording script), are unable to access elements in iFrames and so these appear as grey or black boxes in recordings.

Similarly, for elements rendered via "shadow roots", these technically exist outside the page and our recording script isn't able to access their contents.
