What is relevance and how is it calculated?

What is relevance?

Relevance is a measure of how helpful we believe watching the replay will be to you, the store owner. We know your time is limited, and so our goal with the relevance scores is to help you find the replays that will be most worth watching.

What would be a low and high relevance replay?

An example of a low relevance replay is a shopper that visits your site and leaves shortly thereafter without interacting with the page.

A high relevance replay could be a returning shopper that added to cart but didn't check out or a new shopper that just placed an order.

How is relevance calculated?

Relevance is calculated by assigning points to various replay properties and shopper actions, summing each replay's total number of points then grading them low, medium or high relevance based on their total points.

Replay properties and shopper actions that get factored into this calculation include:

  1. Duration
  2. Cart value
  3. Return shopper or buyer
  4. Shopper actions such as add to cart, rage clicks, shaky mouse, viewed checkout and placed order
