Why aren't all of my placed orders being tracked?
Several factors impact Propel Replay's ability to track your placed orders including:
- If express checkout buttons are used and open in a new tab or window then they become disconnected from the session being recorded and won't be tracked.
- Propel Replays tracks checkouts via your thank you page. If there's situations where shoppers complete checkout but aren't taken to your thank you page then they won't be tracked.
- In Propel Replays, checkouts are linked to replays. If your marketing channels have buy buttons that go directly to checkout and skip your product page then no replay can be captured and these purchases won't be tracked.
- Propel Replays is one of the last things Shopify loads on your site, and so replays are only captured (and checkouts only tracked) if a visitor stays on the page long enough for recording to take place.
- Propel Replays integrates with Shopify's new extensible checkout system. If your shop is still using legacy checkout, you'll need to update to the latest version of Shopify checkout.
- If your Propel Replays account has reached its page view quota then all replay recording and tracking, including placed order tracking, pauses until your account falls back to within your quota limit.
