Why are sessions from my paid ad campaigns not being marked as paid traffic?
Propel Replays follows the UTM parameter specifications. According to those specifications:
- utm_medium parameter should be added to URLs to specify traffic type (paid, organic, etc.)
In order for Propel Replays to flag traffic as paid, it expects to see a utm_medium parameter in the URL with the value of paid.
For example, if the link to your product page was:
https://myshop.com/products/widget
When you ad this link to your ad campaign, you should set it as:
https://myshop.com/products/widget?utm_medium=paid
