How to install Product Registration by Propel

Welcome to Propel Product Registrations! We're thrilled to have you on board!

Follow the steps below to set up the app and quickly start accepting product registrations on your Shopify store.

Onboarding steps

Create your first product registration form

1. After installation, you'll see our welcome greetings for you. Click Next to proceed.

   

2. You'll then be prompted to create a registration form. Click Create registration form to proceed.

   

3. You'll then see a pop-up window. Choose a Form name and select whether you want this to be a Single-page form (all fields are present in the form) or a Two-page form (product info fields on the first page and customer info fields on the second page). Click Create form when done.

   

4. You will then be redirected to the edit form page. Here you can choose which products can be registered using this form. Along the top of the page there are also buttons for previewing the form on your storefront, exporting your registrations, designing your form and editing form settings.

   

5. And here’s what the edit form page looks like after selecting products to make available for registration.

   

6. When done, you can hit the Save. To view your new form on your storefront, click the View on store button at the top of the page. The popup below will appear.

   

   
   

7. You can either Copy the url and paste it into your browser or click the Open in new tab button. Here's how it looks on our test store.

   

8. When you're done editing your form, return to the app homepage. At this point, your store is ready to accept product registrations.

   

Create a link to your registration form in your shop's main menu

1. With your first registration form created, we recommend taking a moment to create a link to your new form in your shop's main menu. Click Create link in the Setup Guide box to edit your shop's navigation in a new tab. From there, you can edit your main menu and create a new link to your registration form.

   

2. To create the link, you'll need the URL to your registration form. The URL can be found by editing your new form in our app, clicking the View on store button then clicking the Copy button beside the URL field in the popup.

Customize your product registration confirmation emails

1. We also recommend customizing the registration confirmation emails sent to your customers. From the Setup guide box in our app's homepage, click the Customize notifications button or edit your form then click the Form settings button at the top of the page. There are several settings you can configure here including:
   1. the intro text to your form
   2. the success message
   3. the registration confirmation email subject and body

   4. serial number validation and whether serial numbers can be used multiple times

      

2. When you're done updating it, click Save.
