How to prevent shoppers from using Shopify discount code

Using Propel Sale & Discount Manager to run your sales, with all its features such as scheduling and intelligent discount logic, is definitely a life-saver. However, it can't prevent your shoppers from applying Shopify Discount codes on top of the sale price.

Luckily, we have a workaround that includes a few manual collection adjustments and/or discount code options to prevent them from using the codes on top of the sale price.

If you have less than 20 products/variants, we recommend skipping and proceeding to step 3 then selecting Specific Products. Check all products except for the products you have on sale.

1) Ensure that you add a tag to your sales:

2) Go to Collections then create a new collection with the following condition:

Note: you have to ensure that the rest of your collection(s) doesn't include any products that were tagged from our app.

3) Go to the Discounts tab and select the discount code you wish to exclude (if you intend to block all codes, then you might have to apply these changes to each)

Check everything except the Collection you created for the tagged products.

4) Hit save!

This should prevent your shoppers from applying discount codes to your products on sale.
